In a significant step toward deeper inclusivity, SM proudly unveils the SM Sensory Lab: A Calming Corner—the first of its kind in the Philippines. Located at SM Mall of Asia, the dedicated space offers a safe and soothing environment for children and adults experiencing sensory processing challenges.

Developed in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the National Council on Disability Affairs, the SM Sensory Lab is thoughtfully designed to provide a calming atmosphere amid the bustle of a busy mall. With carefully curated features that promote relaxation and emotional regulation, the space allows individuals and families to pause, reset, and feel supported.

Through SM Cares, SM aims to roll out similar calming corners across the country—bringing comfort, compassion, and accessibility to more communities. The initiative reinforces SM’s commitment to creating a truly inclusive “Mall for All,” where every visitor feels welcome, understood, and valued.
