In an opening remark, Total Gamezone Xtreme Inc. President Rafael Jasper Vicencio shared the company’s vision for sports and entertainment. “The brand is here not only to entertain but, more importantly, to let you know that ArenaPlus is one of those brands that is open to supporting and standing up for our athletes like Carlos and Eumir.”

Similarly, Andy Tsui, President of DigiPlus Interactive Corp., expressed the brand’s commitment to supporting Filipino athletes. “ArenaPlus is poised to be the leading sports entertainment gateway for Filipinos, and one of our commitments is to support and build collaborations with organizations and athletes whose passion is to uplift and inspire more Filipinos to pursue their dreams and persevere in becoming successful Olympians, such as Carlos and Eumir.”

With the Olympics just around the corner, Yulo shared that his training focus shifted to strengthen his performance for certain parts of the Olympic order. Yulo observed that he would perform solidly in the vault, so more effort would go into other facets as he maintained proficiency.

“It’s more on sa execution po, especially sa floor, yung mga landings at yung mga sa air. More focus on landings talaga po ako this time,” Yulo said, acknowledging the challenge that came with performing twists and sticking solid landings.

Carrion on stage during the ArenaPlus press conference.

Yulo exuded the confidence of an athlete with great support behind him as he openly answered each question thrown his way. Part of this confidence has been attributed to the partnership he has with ArenaPlus as one of the brand’s newest ambassadors.

Joining Yulo on stage were the President of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines, Cynthia L. Carrion, and his girlfriend, Chloe San Jose. Carrion shared her hope for Yulo, saying, “I hope and pray that Carlos wins a medal for the Philippines! ”

Despite the distance, Marcial managed to join the press conference from Las Vegas through a Zoom call. The boxing athlete welcomed each of the questions that came his way, especially the ones that put a spotlight on his preparations for the Olympics.

Marcial said that his preparations for the Paris Olympics began as far back as nearly four years ago, giving him the confidence to believe in his ability to bring home a gold medal. At the moment, he is currently training with his team in Vegas, including the previous mentor of the US team, Kay Koroma, who trained athletes for the Rio and Tokyo Olympics.

“Everyday, pinagaralan namin lahat na possibleng kalaban namin sa olympics,” Marcial said, noting that he and his team are balancing between the mental and physical aspects of training, especially since he has more access to resources and sparring partners.

Marcial gave a heartfelt message to the ArenaPlus community. “To my ArenaPlus family, unang una po, gusto ko pong magpasalamat sa tiwala na binigay niyo samin, lalo na sa akin,” Marcial said. “Yung pagiging ambassador ko ay nagbigay samin ng inspirasyon dahil may mga tao na niwala samin na kaya namin makakuha ng gold sa Olympics.”

Concluding the event, the brand launches its newest TVC material with ArenaPlus Olympic ambassadors Yulo and Marcial, together with ArenaPlus endorser Scottie Thompson, which is set to air soon.

This moment is what ArenaPlus draws inspiration from to pursue its mission to make sports fun and entertaining. The brand is in its best form to make the Paris Olympics 2024 memorable not only for the competing athletes but also for the fans and supporters who are rooting for them to bring pride for the country, keeping the fire burning towards “Ginto para sa Astig na Atleta”.
