HONOR Philippines is bringing the HONOR Magic V6 into the world of Philippine tennis as the official presenter of the Gentry Open 2026, creating a partnership that brings together premium technology, sport and lifestyle.

The partnership began with a conversation between HONOR Philippines Vice President Stephen Cheng and Gentry Open founder and organizer Hayb Anzures. According to Cheng, the two sides quickly recognized that their campaigns and audiences were closely aligned, allowing the partnership to come together in less than 24 hours.
For Anzures, the connection was particularly fitting as the Gentry Open continues to position itself as a major event in Philippine tennis.
“Honor Magic V6 is our presenter for this year,” Anzures said during the tournament’s second official press conference. He added that HONOR’s current introduction of its luxury and high-end mobile phones aligned well with the tournament, particularly given tennis’ association with a more premium sporting lifestyle.
The HONOR Magic V6 sits at the center of that collaboration.
As HONOR’s latest foldable smartphone offering, the device brings the brand’s premium positioning into an environment built around performance, competition and personal style. The Gentry Open provides an opportunity for the Magic V6 to be experienced within a setting where technology is increasingly part of how audiences follow, document and share sporting events.

Cheng said HONOR plans to use its products in covering the Gentry Open, allowing its technology to play a role in documenting the tournament and the experiences surrounding it.
The partnership will also include prizes for tournament winners, giving HONOR a direct role in recognizing the athletes competing at the event.
For HONOR Philippines, the relationship is also about the people and communities connected to sport.
Cheng said the company wants to support athletes who demonstrate hard work and determination, and that the shared values between HONOR and Gentry Open were an important reason for pursuing the collaboration.
That connection comes at an important moment for Philippine tennis. The international success of Alex Eala has helped bring renewed attention to the sport and encouraged more young Filipinos to consider tennis as a serious pursuit.
The Gentry Open is building on that interest with an expected field of around 1,300 players, including international competitors from countries such as India, New Zealand and Thailand.
For HONOR, becoming part of the tournament places the Magic V6 in an environment where technology, competition and lifestyle naturally meet.

The partnership is also not being treated as a one-time collaboration. Cheng said HONOR and Gentry intend to work together on additional projects in the future, with both organizations seeing common ground in their audiences and objectives.
The Gentry Open 2026, presented by the HONOR Magic V6, will run from August 19 to 30 at the CSA Tennis Stadium in Bulacan.
For HONOR Philippines, the tournament offers a new setting for the Magic V6 to connect with consumers through something they can watch, experience and be part of: the growing culture of Philippine tennis.
