Makati City Mayor Nancy Binay expressed her heartfelt gratitude to First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos for spearheading the “Lab For All: Laboratoryo, Konsulta, at Gamot Para sa Lahat” program, a nationwide community-based health initiative that brings free and accessible medical services closer to Filipinos.

Mayor Binay emphasized that the program reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the country’s healthcare system and ensuring that every Filipino has equitable access to quality health services, in line with Republic Act No. 11223 or the Universal Health Care Act.
“We sincerely thank First Lady Louise Araneta-Marcos for her commitment to making healthcare more accessible to every Filipino. Through initiatives like Lab For All, essential medical services are brought directly to communities, helping more people take proactive steps toward better health and well-being,” Mayor Binay said.

The initiative, launched by First Lady Louise Marcos in various localities since May, is carried out through medical missions and outreach programs anchored on the principles of the Universal Health Care Law.
In Makati City, the Lab For All initiative included pre-event medical missions in Barangay Valenzuela (June 19), Barangay Carmona (June 20), and Barangay Guadalupe Viejo (June 21), culminating in the main event held on June 23 at the Makati Coliseum, where First Lady Louise Marcos personally graced the occasion.
During the medical missions, residents availed themselves of a wide range of free health services, including ECG for individuals aged 35 and above, urinalysis, random and fasting blood sugar tests, BMI assessment, hemoglobin testing, cholesterol and uric acid screening, chest X-ray, fetal Doppler, ultrasound for pregnant women, free medical consultations, and free medicines good for 15 days.

Mayor Binay highlighted that the initiative significantly helps strengthen preventive healthcare at the community level, especially for vulnerable sectors.
“Preventive healthcare is one of the most effective ways to build healthier communities. By providing free consultations, diagnostic services, and medicines, Lab For All empowers residents to detect health concerns early and seek timely treatment,” she said.
She also extended appreciation to the First Lady for her active advocacy in advancing public health initiatives and to President Marcos Jr. for his strong support in uplifting the country’s healthcare system as part of building a healthier and more resilient nation.
