Taiwan has extended its visa-free entry program for Philippine passport holders for another year, allowing eligible travelers to enter the country without a visa for stays of up to 14 days.

The extension will take effect on August 1, 2026, and remain valid until July 31, 2027.

The move comes as part of the reciprocal visa-free arrangements between Taiwan and the Philippines. The Philippine government has also continued to grant visa-free entry privileges to Taiwan passport holders, supporting stronger tourism and people-to-people exchanges between the two destinations.

Under the program, eligible Philippine passport holders may visit Taiwan for tourism, business, family visits, or other short-term purposes for up to 14 days without securing a visa in advance. Travelers must still meet Taiwan's entry requirements, including holding a passport with sufficient validity, a confirmed onward or return ticket, and any other documents that immigration authorities may require upon arrival.

The extension is expected to further encourage leisure and business travel between Taiwan and the Philippines. Taiwan remains a popular destination for Filipino travelers because of its accessible cities, efficient transportation network, vibrant food scene, natural attractions, and seasonal events. Likewise, the Philippines continues to welcome Taiwanese visitors, contributing to the growth of two-way tourism and economic cooperation.

Travelers planning to visit Taiwan are encouraged to review the latest visa-free entry requirements and travel advisories before departure, as immigration policies and entry conditions may be updated by the relevant authorities.

With the visa-free privilege remaining in effect through July 31, 2027, Filipino travelers have another year to explore Taiwan without the need to apply for a visa, making short trips more convenient while reinforcing the growing travel ties between the Philippines and Taiwan.
