WYNDHAM GARDEN MANILA BAY GIVES WEEKENDS A GRILL AND A GARDEN

Barbecue Night at Garden by the Bay opened with "Radiance by the Bay," the first major showcase of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2026, and now runs every Friday and Saturday

Fridays and Saturdays at Wyndham Garden Manila Bay now come with charcoal smoke. The hotel has opened Barbecue Night at Garden by the Bay, a weekend dinner priced at P1,288 per person with food and drinks included.
The hotel marked the opening on October 3 by hosting "Radiance by the Bay," the first major showcase of Mutya ng Pilipinas 2026, in the same garden. Guests had dinner from the grill as the candidates of one of the country's longest-running national pageants made their first major appearance of the season.

Chef Andrew Ko, the hotel's Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef, said Barbecue Night had been in the hotel's plans for some time, and that the launch was prepared with Mutya ng Pilipinas as its partner.
"We really prepared for this," Ko said.
His team runs the grill with two styles of barbecue. The Filipino street-style kind is served outdoors beside the hotel's new al fresco mobile bar. The international selection has sausages and steaks, cooked alongside salmon and tuna.
"It's a mix of international and Filipino," he said.
The dip is made in the hotel's own kitchen. Sinamak is the spiced vinegar of Iloilo, sharp with chilies and garlic and warmed by ginger and langkawas. Across Western Visayas, it is the usual partner of anything cooked over charcoal.
"We make our sinamak from scratch," Ko said. "We ferment it one to two weeks before we serve it."
The grill is one part of a larger buffet. Carving stations serve meats and seafood, and a grazing table stands near the dessert section of pastries, cakes, fruits, and local donuts. The mobile bar, introduced on opening night, pours cocktails and mocktails, plus beer.

The hotel's management took part in the program as well. Later in the evening, Resident Manager Ms. Charmaine Sy presented the award of the night on behalf of the hotel.
Barbecue Night is open to everyone, hotel guests and outside diners alike. The menu will change every month according to a theme, so the spread served in October will give way to a new one in November.
Ko kept his invitation to diners simple. "There's a big spread and a lot for you to taste," he said. "What we expect is that you will enjoy yourselves."
