MANILA – Cebu Pacific is bringing travelers closer to Japan's "City of Snow" with a new seat sale for flights to Sapporo. For as low as P1,488 one-way base fare, passengers can book tickets from November 13 to 19 and plan their trips between January 16 and March 29, 2025.
Starting January 16, the airline will operate three weekly flights—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays—making it the only carrier with direct Manila-Sapporo service.
Known for its winter charm, Sapporo offers travelers the chance to ski, sled, build snowmen, and enjoy the iconic Sapporo Snow Festival during their visit.
Cebu Pacific's Expanding Horizons
With Sapporo added to its roster, Cebu Pacific now flies to 27 international destinations across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. This expansion comes as part of its growth strategy, despite some financial challenges.
The airline reported P74.5 billion in revenues for the first nine months of 2024, an 11% increase year-on-year, driven by a 13% rise in passengers to 17.5 million. However, net income dropped 33% to P3.4 billion, attributed to rising costs from new aircraft acquisitions and investments in spare engines.
As of September, Cebu Pacific's fleet had grown to 91 aircraft, up by 10 from the previous year. These additions align with its goal to enhance operational reliability and sustain its growth momentum.
For budget-savvy travelers eager to explore Japan's winter capital, Cebu Pacific's latest offering provides an affordable and convenient gateway to the wonders of Sapporo.
