For over 33 years, Fino Leatherware has continued to evolve, drawing from over three decades of tradition while stepping into the future. To mark the 10th year of its Artisan Collection, it proudly presents ‘Hats Off’—a celebration of Filipino craftsmanship and heritage. To be held at Power Plant Mall, the event honors the artistry behind handcrafted work and reaffirms Fino’s commitment to keeping local craft alive and relevant.

Fino revives its signature hand-woven and wrapping leatherwork and chaining techniques,
blending old-world skill with modern design to create bags and small items that are both timeless and contemporary. The collection will feature the same hand-crinkled vegetable-
tanned leather as the original 2015 collection, with new colors and modern silhouettes. The 2025 edition reworks these intricate handle elements and expands upon the world of Fino’s Artisan Collection to create pieces that honor the past and build a new future.
As the name suggests, Hats Off is a salute to Filipino artisans. In a special edition feature for
the event, Fino will also unveil artisan hats made in collaboration with Lucban Hats and JCV
Enterprise, crafted using native abaca and raffia fibers with leather trimmings. These hats are
available exclusively for this occasion and will not be part of Fino’s regular product line.

In collaboration with Jo Ann Bitagcol, a respected designer and visual storyteller, Fino’s pieces were showcased in a thoughtful style vignette that merges fashion, memory, and material. Bitagcol’s garments provide a beautiful counterpoint to Fino’s leatherwork and accessories, weaving a shared narrative of heritage and reinvention.
As a guest speaker for the event, Rhea Matute, Executive Director of the Design Center of the Philippines, shared: “Design rooted in authenticity doesn’t just preserve culture — it moves it forward.”
As it celebrates a decade of its Artisan Collection, Fino continues to stay true to its Filipino
heritage: proudly supporting local craftsmanship and creating pieces with soul, story, and
enduring style.
The Hats Off display and Artisan Collection will be open to the public at Fino, 2nd floor,
