All roads will lead to this charming island province next year with the launch of Isle Visit Camiguin 2026, a yearlong campaign to draw travelers and adventurers to this part of northern Mindanao.

Topping the fun-filled year is Ironman 5150 set on May 3 which will bring hundreds of triathletes, event officials, and sports enthusiasts swimming around the iconic Sunken Cemetery, and biking and running around the province’s scenic roads.
The bike leg follows a two-loop journey along the Circumferential Road from the ruins of the Spanish-era Bonbon Church, and concludes at the Camiguin Sports Complex in Mambajao.
“Camiguin is one of the country’s most beautiful and storied islands, and bringing an Ironman 5150 race here allows us to combine both adventure and cultural discovery,” says Princess Galura, president and general manager of exclusive Philippine Ironman licensee Sunrise Events Inc..

She said that Ironman 5150 is also an invitation to explore the enchanting island and experience its unique attractions—Ardent Hot Springs, Sto. Niño Cold Springs, Bura Soda Pool, Walkway to the Old Volcano, Katibawasan and Tuasan waterfalls, White Island Sandbar, with the stunning Mt. Hibok-Hibok as a backdrop.
Guests can also frolic at Mantigue Island Nature Park, winner of the Best Eco-Tourism Destination at the first Philippine Tourism Awards of the Department of Tourism, which recognizes Camiguin’s commitment to preserving its natural environment.

Governor Xavier Jesus “XJ” D. Romualdo welcomed the event as a milestone for the province’s growing tourism and sports initiatives. “We are proud to welcome triathletes from across the Philippines and around the world to experience Camiguin, not just as a destination, but as a community that celebrates nature, culture, and active living.”
He said the new campaign marks another bold step forward for the province, which has shown consistent economic and tourism growth in the post Covid-19 era.
He added that in 2024, the province posted a 8.6% growth rate, the highest in Region 10 and among the top 10 nationwide. Tourist arrivals also increased by 38%, reaching 288,558 local and foreign visitors.
“More than just attracting tourists, the Isle Visit Camiguin campaign is also about sustaining our economic momentum, creating more livelihood opportunities for people, and ensuring that tourism continues to be a strong driver of inclusive growth for our province in the years to come,” Romualdo pointed out.

On top of the Ironman, Camiguin will host a variety of events next year under the main four themes—Isle Trek, Isle Win, Isle Dive, and Isle Enjoy, which are all based on the “Camiguin, Isle Be There” branding in 2023.
Other major events include Climb Camiguin in March, where mountaineers will scale the challenging Mts. Timpoong-Hibok-Hibok Natural Monument ASEAN Heritage Park, and the Camiguin Dive Festival in August.

The event calendar also covers the Panaad, the traditional 64-km Holy Week penitential walk around the province, and the vibrant Lanzones Festival in October, one of the country’s longest-running festivities.
Camiguin also takes pride in its cozy boutique accommodations, restaurants, bars and coffee shops where guests can laze and gaze at the panoramic beach and highland sights.
