Megaworld and The Medical City Join Forces to Bring Advanced Healthcare to Boracay

Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and The Medical City have partnered to launch a new medical facility in Boracay, set to elevate the island’s healthcare landscape. Located within the Newcoast Beachwalk in Megaworld’s Boracay Newcoast township, this medical facility will offer critical health services to both residents and tourists, making Boracay not only a leading vacation spot but also a destination with quality healthcare options.

The partnership was formally established in a recent ceremony led by key figures from both organizations. Kevin Tan, CEO of Alliance Global Group Inc., joined forces with Megaworld Lifestyle Malls’ First Vice President Graham Coates and Assistant Vice President Vanessa Vicente, alongside The Medical City’s Chairman Jose Xavier Gonzales and Chief Strategy Officer Christopher Delos Reyes. Together, they underscored the mutual commitment to provide Boracay with accessible, high-quality medical services.

The new medical facility is designed to meet diverse healthcare needs, offering emergency services, outpatient consultations, and specialized medical care. "Boracay needs more healthcare facilities that can cater to the needs of its population and international visitors," Coates said. "By establishing a state-of-the-art medical clinic on the island, we are taking a significant step towards ensuring Boracay is not only a world-class destination for leisure but also a safe and healthy environment for everyone who lives on or visits the island."

The Medical City, a respected healthcare provider known for its modern facilities and commitment to healthcare excellence, will bring its comprehensive medical expertise to this venture. Highlighting their experience in treating international patients, Gonzales said, "We are very committed to healthcare quality. We have been a Joint Commission International (JCI) accredited hospital since 2005, and we have a strong medical travel market. We understand what it takes to accommodate and treat international customers, and we’re eager to bring that expertise to Boracay."

Strategically situated in the Newcoast Beachwalk, a beachfront mall filled with retail stores, restaurants, and cafés, this new medical facility will be well-positioned to serve the island’s growing community. As the island evolves into a well-rounded destination with not only recreational but also essential health services, this development enhances its appeal as a prime tourist and lifestyle destination, ensuring that health and safety remain a priority amid its vibrant, scenic offerings.
