PH Tourism Call Center Nominated for 2024 Asia’s Best of Best Awards

MANILA – The Philippine Department of Tourism (DOT) is excited to announce that its Tourist Assistance Call Center (TACC) has received a nomination for the 2024 Asia’s Best of Best Awards. Launched in October 2023, the TACC has already handled over 10,000 inquiries through a variety of channels, including voice calls, emails, live chat, and social media.

The TACC is competing in the “Best in Service-Customer Support” category. “Our commitment to hospitality starts well before tourists arrive in the Philippines. The TACC ensures visitors receive necessary guidance and support throughout their journey,” stated Tourism Secretary Christina Frasco.

Available 24/7, the TACC provides real-time travel information and emergency assistance to both local and international tourists, achieving an impressive average customer satisfaction rating of 84% in follow-up surveys. Most inquiries have come from the Philippines, followed by the United States and India.

In addition to the TACC nomination, the Philippines is also competing for the “Best Marketing Campaign” award for its “Love the Philippines” initiative and the “Best Woman Leader” award for Secretary Frasco. Organized by Dubai-based Golden Tree Events, the Asia Best of Best Awards aims to celebrate excellence across various industries.

Frasco emphasized that these nominations highlight the collective efforts of the entire tourism sector in promoting the Philippines and improving the tourist experience. Voting is currently open until September 30 and can be done through the official awards website. Winners will be announced at a gala ceremony on November 9 at The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina.
