The Tandang Sora Museum, the first-ever women's museum in the Philippines, was launched at the Tandang Sora National Shrine in Quezon City. Mayor Joy Belmonte emphasized the importance of establishing a women's museum in the country, highlighting the historical significance of Tandang Sora, a solo parent and senior citizen.

The museum showcases the life and legacy of Melchora Aquino, featuring paintings, antique artifacts, and a bust of the revolutionary heroine. Curator Sandra Torrijos noted that Tandang Sora's virtues—honesty, service, collaboration, and courage—were the inspiration behind the exhibits.
In addition to Tandang Sora, the museum also features paintings by women artists and depictions of Filipina revolutionaries and notable women in various fields. The museum aims to highlight the often-overlooked contributions of women in Filipino history.
Senator Risa Hontiveros, a well-known advocate for women's rights, praised the bravery and achievements of Filipinas like Tandang Sora. She emphasized the importance of recognizing their contributions to the rights and liberties enjoyed by women today.
The museum is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with free admission for seniors, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and Quezon City residents. Non-residents can enter for ₱50.
