Now is the perfect time to travel to Taiwan! The visa-free entry policy for Filipino tourists has officially been extended until July 31, 2026. To actively promote the Philippine market, Taiwan Tourism Administration has formed the "Taiwan Tourism Delegation" — a 50-member team comprising 25 units, including the Taichung City Government, travel agencies, airlines, hotels, theme parks, and souvenir brands. This delegation will participate in the 2025 Travel Madness Expo (TME) in the Philippines from July 11 to 13.

The Taiwan Pavilion will feature top Filipino influencers Carl Chuidian and Mommy Haidee, each with over a million followers, sharing their amazing travel experiences in Taiwan. Visitors can enjoy performances by T-pop street dance world champions, sip on refreshing lemon winter melon tea, taste Taiwan’s signature aiyu jelly and creative wheel cakes, and even try a DIY wooden train workshop. These food and cultural elements aim to deepen the desire among Filipinos to visit Taiwan. Visitors who purchase Taiwan-bound flight tickets or travel packages worth at least PHP 20,000 at TME are eligible to enter a raffle for a round-trip ticket between Manila and Taipei!
Taipei 101 Nantou Taitung
Located at Booth No. 58–64, the Taiwan Pavilion is themed around the Tourism Brand 3.0 concept: "Taiwan – Waves of Wonder", using vibrant colors to showcase the island’s seasonal beauty. The booth is designed with stacked, playful blocks to attract attention, and a photo wall features stunning images of Taipei 101, Rainbow Village in Taichung, Taitung International Balloon Festival, and Zhaori Hot Spring in Green Island, highlighting Taiwan’s diverse tourism offerings.
The event offers rich experiences: FUNTO ART will present themed dance shows titled "Have a Drink in Taiwan" and "Taiwan Drama Time Machine." For the first time in the Philippines, the pavilion will serve classic Taiwanese summer treats like lemon winter melon tea, hand-washed Alishan aiyu jelly, and traditional wheel cakes, along with the DIY wooden train experience.
To boost promotion, the pavilion has invited renowned Filipino internet celebrities — Carl Chuidian, who runs "The Chui Show" Facebook page with 1.54 million followers and has previously filmed in Taiwan, and Mommy Haidee, a seasoned YouTuber known for her travel vlogs — to share their exciting travel stories and must-try Taiwanese food and attractions, further enticing Filipino tourists to visit Taiwan.
In recent years, Taiwan has become an increasingly popular destination for Filipino travelers. According to the Tourism Administration, the number of visitors from the Philippines reached 467,000 in 2024, ranking first among Southeast Asian countries and making the Philippines the sixth-largest source market for Taiwan globally. From January to March 2025 alone, over 146,581 Filipino tourists visited Taiwan — a year-on-year increase of more than 25.38%, showing strong and steady growth.
Taiwan’s tourism environment has received international acclaim. In 2024, seven destinations and two green enterprises in Taiwan were listed in the Green Destinations Top 100 Stories, a record-setting achievement highlighting the island’s excellence in sustainable tourism. Agoda also ranked Taipei and Kaohsiung among Asia’s most popular one-night stay destinations, placing third and eighth, respectively. Moreover, UK-based cultural magazine Time Out named Taipei the world’s safest city for female digital nomads, and rated it "Excellent" in terms of foreign visitor friendliness.
To continue attracting Filipino tourists, Taiwan will not only participate in the TME travel fair but will also host Taiwan Tourism Promotion Events in Iloilo on July 15 and in Cebu on July 16. These events aim to expand business opportunities and inbound tourism, with over 100 Filipino travel industry professionals, airline representatives, and major media expected to attend. The events will feature Taiwan’s newest attractions and promotional offers, further strengthening the tourism exchange platform between Taiwan and the Philippines, and maintaining the momentum of Filipino tourism to Taiwan.
