Celebrating travel partnerships and showcasing Taiwan’s diverse tourism experiences
Iloilo City, Philippines – July 15, 2025 — The Grand Ballroom of Courtyard by Marriott Iloilo came alive with cultural flair and tourism dialogue during the 2025 Taiwan Waves of Wonder Tourism Workshop. The half-day event welcomed travel agencies, industry partners, and tourism professionals to discover Taiwan’s rich hospitality offerings through direct presentations, games, and cultural showcases.

Guests began with a dynamic Travel Mart, featuring top Taiwanese tourism organizations, including Taiwan Leisure Farms Development Association, Cathay Hospitality Management, Leofoo Village Theme Park & Resort, Lacomfort International, Vigor KoBo, and EVA Air. Each highlighted authentic experiences and partnership opportunities tailored for Filipino travelers.
A captivating Opening Show by FunTo Art set the stage for the presentations, which included promotional campaigns and product highlights spanning leisure farms, themed accommodations, and family-friendly attractions.
The welcome speech was delivered by Ms. Cindy Chen, Director of the Taiwan Tourism Information Center in Manila. Following her, Ms. Crisanta Marlene Rodriguez, Regional Director of the Department of Tourism Region VI - Western Visayas, shared remarks reinforcing the importance of regional collaboration in boosting inbound and outbound tourism.


Interactive segments like the Taiwan Q&A & Bring Me Game kept energy high, while the closing Dance Performance from FunTo Art, showcasing Taiwan’s signature hand-shaken beverage - Bubble Tea and classic Taiwanese stir-fry banquet traditions, left attendees inspired by Taiwan’s vibrant spirit and cultural creativity.
