The Taiwan Tourism Administration, M.O.T.C., has extended a warm invitation to Filipino actress Gabbi Garcia and her boyfriend Khalil Ramos to serve as tourism ambassadors for Taiwan. This dynamic couple is set to attend the opening event of the Taiwan Pavilion at the Philippines Travel Tour Expo (TTE), an international travel exhibition, where they will share their firsthand experiences of exploring Taiwan and indulge in the enchanting Taiwanese cuisine. The exhibition, scheduled from February 2nd to 4th, promises a captivating array of activities, including performances by Celebrity chef RV Manabat and the winner of the 2022 Xiongzheng International Street Dance Competition, Fun To Art.
The Taiwan Pavilion, brimming with exciting events, will offer visitors the chance to participate in a DIY Pineapple Cake workshop, Hakka floral lantern crafting, traditional Taiwanese egg pancake tasting, and an Ohbear nail art painting event. Attendees can immerse themselves in diverse activities, with opportunities to win NT$5,000 accommodation vouchers and exclusive gifts. For those attending the TTE Travel Expo, a visit to the Taiwan Pavilion (Booth Number: 347-351, 364-373, 386-390) promises not only delicious food, fun experiences, but also great deals.

In 2023, Taiwan welcomed 6 million tourists, witnessing a remarkable 68% recovery in the number of Filipino visitors from January to November 2023 compared to the same period in 2019, underscoring the sustained enthusiasm of Filipino travelers for Taiwan. To promote new attractions beyond Taipei, the Taiwan Tourism Administration has organized a diverse delegation of 42 individuals from 23 governmental agencies and related businesses, aiming to introduce the central and southern regions of Taiwan to Filipino tourists.

The Taiwan Pavilion will be graced by its first Filipino celebrity couple as Taiwan tourism ambassadors—actress Gabbi Garcia and her model boyfriend Khalil Ramos. The duo will add star power to the expo, cutting the ribbon and performing the classic Taiwanese drama "Meteor Garden" theme song on the first day. Throughout the exhibition, visitors can also look forward to Chef RV Manabat's culinary delights and Fun To Art's mesmerizing dance performances titled "Island Traces," "Taiwanese Drama Time Machine," and "Hanbi Stars."
The Taiwan Pavilion encourages attendees to share their experiences on social media with the hashtag #TaiwanTourismxTTE2024, offering them a chance to win the coveted "Taiwan the Lucky Land" NT$5,000 accommodation voucher, with a total prize value of up to NT$500,000. The Pavilion promises a diverse, entertaining, and Taiwanese-style showcase of performances and activities at the TTE Travel Expo.
To foster exchange between the tourism industries of Taiwan and the Philippines, a Taiwan Tourism Workshop is scheduled on January 31 and February 1 at the Clark SMX Convention Center and Seda Manila Bay. This initiative, organized by the Tourism Division office in Bangkok, the Taiwan Trade Center in Manila, and the Taiwan Leisure Farms Development Association, aims to introduce Taiwan's latest tourist attractions and various incentive programs, fostering opportunities for Philippine travelers to visit Taiwan.

Travelers from the Philippines can avail themselves of special offers, including visa-free entry, a free one-way airport MRT ticket during self-guided tours, and a chance to win a NT$5,000 voucher through a lucky draw. Group travelers can enjoy a maximum subsidy of NT$50,000 on group fees, and the newly introduced "Taiwan Pass" offers diverse transportation options for only NT$2,500, facilitating convenient travel around Taiwan. Taiwan continues to capture global attention, ranking high in destination search rankings on international online travel platforms. Tainan, in particular, stands out, earning a spot on National Geographic Traveler's list of "30 Coolest Places to Visit in 2024" and CNN's report on "Where to go in 2024: The best places to visit." For the latest and most exciting travel information about Taiwan, visitors are encouraged to explore the Taiwan Pavilion at the TTE Travel Expo!
