Venchi, Italy’s iconic gourmet chocolatier and gelato maker, has officially opened its first store in the Philippines at Central Square, Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Known for its luxurious treats and premium-quality products, Venchi promises to bring a delightful chocolate journey to Filipino customers.
The choco-gelateria’s vibrant storefront invites guests with colorful displays of cones, decadent chocolate bars, and Venchi’s signature creations, such as Nougatine, Cremino 1878, Pannacotta & Caramel, Chocaviar 75%, and Chocaviar Pistacchio. Adding to the allure is its selection of freshly made gelato, with over 12 exciting flavors, including strawberry, cappuccino, and vanilla, ensuring there’s something for everyone.
Marco Galimberti, Venchi’s CEO for Asia Pacific, highlighted the importance of the Philippine market in the brand’s expansion strategy. “A lot of our customers outside the Philippines are Filipinos,” he said, mentioning frequent visits by Filipino travelers to Venchi stores in places like Singapore, Hong Kong, and Italy. “Filipinos have a sweet tooth, and if you want to be a global brand in Asia, the Philippines is a big market. It has a booming economy, and you have more skyscrapers than in Milan,” he added.
Venchi’s rich history dates back to its founding in 1878 in Italy, and its presence spans countries across Asia, including Japan, China, Taiwan, and Singapore. The opening in BGC marks the first step of Venchi’s entry into the Philippine market, with a second branch set to open at The Podium in Ortigas this December.
Located on the second floor of Central Square, BGC, Venchi offers a must-visit destination for chocolate and gelato lovers. Whether it’s a quick treat or a lavish indulgence, Venchi brings a taste of Italian luxury to Manila.
