MANILA, Philippines — Filipino travelers may now enter Angola without a visa for stays of up to 30 days, according to the Department of Tourism.

The tourism department recently announced that Angola’s tourist visa exemption policy now covers Philippine passport holders, a move later confirmed by the Department of Foreign Affairs.
“For context, the Embassy of Angola in Manila informed the DFA on 6 March of the visa-free entry arrangement for Filipino tourists for short-term stay of up to 30 days,” the DFA said.
Under the arrangement, Filipinos may stay in Angola for a maximum of 30 days per visit, with a total allowable stay of up to 90 days annually.
Located in southwestern Africa, Angola is known for its Atlantic coastline, diamond reserves, and Portuguese colonial heritage. Its capital, Luanda, is considered one of Africa’s largest urban centers.
The country is also home to national parks, wildlife reserves, and natural attractions such as Kalandula Falls and the Namib Desert.
