Makati City, Philippines — Empowerment, wellness, and community came alive as V-Works Inc., Soroptimist International of Metro Circuit, and the Philippine Marketing Association joined forces to present WOMEN 2026, a two-day event held from March 23 to 24 at the Activity Center of Ayala Malls Circuit.

Anchored on wellness, one community, movement, empowerment, and nature, the event lived up to its inspiring slogan: “She is the moment. She is the movement.” More than just a gathering, WOMEN 2026 created a meaningful space for women to connect, support, and celebrate one another. Attendees enjoyed a celebrity bazaar, women-led businesses, health and wellness talks, dance fitness sessions, a fashion show, arts and crafts workshops, and interactive community activities.
Elmira Cadungog, President of Soroptimist International of Metro Circuit, described the event as a celebration with purpose. “This is our two-day fundraising event for Women’s Month. We are a new organization, having started just last August, and this allows us to raise funds for our future scholars and upcoming projects,” she said. She added, “WOMEN 2026 is more than just an event—it is a celebration of strength, resilience, and the beauty of every woman’s journey.”

The organization empowers women and girls through scholarships, allowances, and livelihood programs while also promoting environmental awareness, encouraging communities to take part in protecting nature.
A highlight of the event was its collaborative spirit. Through its partnership with V-Works Inc.—led by CEO Bianca Lapus, a Soroptimist member—the event featured 16 celebrities participating in bazaar booths, drawing crowds and amplifying its impact.
WOMEN 2026 also showcased notable speakers and advocates who shared their expertise and time. Among them were legal expert Atty. Heyz Meking, certified life coaches, medical professionals such as Dr. Bogs Rivera, and various advocates addressing women’s empowerment and cervical cancer awareness.
Remarkably, the event was conceptualized and brought to life in under three weeks, a testament to collaboration, shared purpose, and a deeply committed network of partners and volunteers. “We are fortunate to have strong support—from friends, organizations like the Philippine Marketing Association, and fellow Rotarians—who helped bring this vision to life,” Cadungog added.
More than an event, WOMEN 2026 demonstrated the power of purpose-driven communities—empowering women, nurturing talents, and creating lasting impact.
Happy Women’s Month.
