Gentry Open 2026 is preparing to bring more than competitive tennis to Bulacan. When the tournament returns from August 20 to 30 at the CSA Tennis Stadium, organizers expect the courts to become a gathering place for players, coaches, families and fans who share a growing passion for the sport.

Carrying the theme “Building the Future of Philippine Tennis,” the event will feature men’s and women’s open divisions alongside junior and amateur categories. The broad lineup gives athletes at different stages of their development a chance to compete within the same tournament environment, creating opportunities for younger players to watch, learn from and interact with more experienced competitors.

Hayb “Pareng Hayb” Anzures, president of Gentry Open and Gentry Timepieces, said during the official media launch that the tournament’s purpose extends beyond crowning champions. The organizers want Gentry Open to become an annual celebration of tennis—one that encourages more Filipinos to discover the sport and helps strengthen the relationships that support every athlete.

That community includes parents who spend weekends accompanying young players to training, coaches who guide them through wins and losses, volunteers who keep events running and spectators who bring energy to the stands. Tournament Director Bobby Mangunay said the event has been designed with that wider experience in mind, from scheduling and venue selection to the atmosphere surrounding the matches.

The expected participation of international players adds another layer of excitement. For local competitors, the tournament offers a chance to face unfamiliar playing styles on home soil. For juniors watching from the sidelines, it provides a closer look at the discipline, preparation and confidence required at a higher level of competition.

Support from the Palawan Group of Companies and Sky Warrior Philippines also helps connect the event with broader grassroots and player-development efforts. Coach Yatharth Vidrohi Bharwad has emphasized the value of tournaments that give athletes quality competition and a professional setting in which to grow.

As Gentry Open 2026 approaches, its appeal lies not only in prize money or rankings. It is also in the shared experience of people coming together around the game. Whether they arrive carrying rackets, coaching notes or simply a ticket to watch, each participant becomes part of a tennis community that organizers hope will continue long after the final match.
